I have been spending a lot of time thinking about Kurt Vonnegut. I think if I ever have to make a scholarly career for myself, it will be on Vonnegut. A friend and I have decided that we are going to read the books of his that we haven't read, and I intend to do that over the summer. Here is a really fantastic interview from McSweeney's that makes me sad. I played a live recording of him reading Breakfast of Champions for my students, and they didn't get it, which also makes me sad. Sometimes when I teach I feel like I occupy a dying world.

Also, I want a Polish Star Wars poster. Someone buy one for me.
